I see tattoos like clothing or an accessory - i like it because it's fancy, but it will eventually get old, outdated or just plain boring. Take sneakers for example. How would you feel wearing your favourite pair of sneakers every day and night until the end of time?
Also, relationship-related tattoos might get outdated, actually in 50% of all cases. I don't dislike meaningful tattoos at all. But i'm just to experienced and realistic (sigh) that there might be a time when you regret having an old picture painted on your body.

I appreciate the concern, but I don't regret things. Every incident, good or bad, contributes to the person I become. And i'm pretty happy with who I am. If the unforeseen that this tattoo does become outdated for one reason or another, if nothing else, it'll serve as a signature of history in my life. That's the beauty of interpretation, nothing is static, nor does any particular image or term have to carry the same meaning ten years from now as it did ten years ago. It changes with the times, like everything else, should it need to change at all.
