My apologies, I missed the title and thought you mean the Character Select screen when launching the game, which would have been a very interesting bug. I am glad that Kellogs was able to help you resolve the issue!

I believe BNGhelp meant this link. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/13099 Try clearing the cache of your app and deleting content database.
