Your right and wrong. Facing a super should be an "oh shit" moment. But it cant be so overpowered that the person who activated it is unstoppable. A super is meant to be a game changer if the right amount of skill is put into it

Apologies for delayed response, newborn distractions! I agree with some of what you say. Supers should require "oh shit" levels of skill to dodge, not use. I personally don't think they're supposed to destroy everything in sight, they're meant to give you an unfair advantage in an encounter. Be it 1v1 or 1v6. Trying to balance something that's supposed to give you a clear advantage is an oxymoron (imo). The only balancing done should be how diff supers interact with each other. A nova bomb should an arc blade head on. Conversely, arc blade should destroy all in CQC.

Like a rock paper scissors type thing?

Broken right down, something like that but without any clear win conditions. It would be silly to say nova bomb should always beat arc blade head on. Arc blade does give a lot of dexterity when in use, allowing a hunter to move at what I call "crack speed", this gives them a justified ability/advantage at dodging and generally moving around the battlefield. That's an advantage of that super, it shouldn't be removed or nerfed or punished for risky play.

The last justified nerf was thorn. I aay that as an ex thorn user. Supers should be overpowered. The more Overpowered super is should just have a longer cool down Congrats on the baby btw

Weapon balancing makes sense, I understand the whole 'no one weapon should be the goto' argument. I just don't get the super nerfing/"balancing". Thank you! Brought him home today. A bundle of grumpy joy
