You seem unnecessarily enthusiastic about NLB and universal remote. I agree the problem is deeper than just nerfing special ammo. What they really need to do is buff primaries so they can compete with special weapons.

  • Special situations. Someone is right around a corner, you pull out a shotgun. Someone is too far for your primary to hit hard, you use your sniper. You know someone is going to come through a doorway, so you charge your fusion rifle up. You're using a scout rifle and want to be effective in a tight corners part of the map, you bust out the sidearm. Specials shouldn't be the gun people use for the majority of a game. In many cases they are used that way today.

  • He said compete not overpower or overshadow. It is completely true that secondaries are way too powerful and way too easy to get right now, hence the fact that almost everyone uses them as a primary half the time. I'm guilty of using the chaperone for half of my game because it's extremely good and rewards a skilled hand but it's almost too easy to keep using it until I run out of ammo.
