I don't have a Scuf per se, but I do have an Xbox elite controller. The shorter trigger pull and grips are fantastic, but I find little use for the levers underneath the controller. I have tried various combinations on different games and have only found myself using 3 at the most and that was playing Halo 5. For Destiny I only use one and programed it for sprint....because sprint is still broken in this game and my thumbs can't take mashing the thumbstick down any longer.
Jokes aside, using the lever for sprint in Destiny has saved my hand. With the hours I have put into this game jamming the stick down was really taking its toll on my thumb.
Edited by calicovane: 1/19/2016 9:13:16 PMWow saving the thumb from hellish sprint sounds good.on ps any controller able to do this?? Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is get a Scuf. I believe they have similar paddles you can adjust to do this. Not 100% sure though.

Ok cheers will investigate. Save the thumbs.

I have a PS4 so I've never tried the Elite but I think the elite controller certainly brings a lot to the table, in some ways maybe too much though. I could hardly imagine using all 4 paddles, but I like the idea of the removable thumbsticks and trigger locks. And using it for sprinting I think is a really good idea.

The elite is a cheaper scuff controller. Microsoft had to partner with scuff to even make them and pay them a ton of money while doing it lol. Scuff already had all the parents on what Microsoft wanted to they had to pay to use the rights. They actually don't make much money on them if you look at the numbers because they are doing the Sony thing and selling them for cheaper hoping to move more units and make up for it. But they are not Sony. And can't move even half of the units somy does lol Some people say the Xbox elite is just as good as the scuff for Xbox. I didn't feel any difference when I used them side by side but I'm a Sony guy. I just happen to have a large group of friends that are all very involved gamers haha

Edited by LuGetsYou: 1/19/2016 9:16:13 PMI've gone thru 3 or 4 xbox one scufs in 2 or 3 years, some only lasted me a couple months because the thumbsticks broke/ripped way too fast or they got stuck in a certain position, which made them unusable. That's something that shouldn't happen when dropping 250$+ on a controller. I've had an elite since it's been released and i can't see those problems happening on it any time soon. It's much better quality imo and the reason for themselling them cheaper thanscuf is because they are mass produced and cost close to nothing to makeunlike a scuf. The only thing that needed a lot of getting used to was the paddle placement opposed to the scuf, but once i figured it out i didn't have any problems. I advise every xbox player who wants to get a scuf, to get anelite instead, there're only benefits.

Edited by itsshmittyitty: 1/19/2016 11:02:28 PMYou bought new controllers because of the thumbsticks? Replacements from Scuff cost ten dollars! Have you really even had scuff? Not debating which controller is better, but your story doesn't make sense to me. Maybe i'm missing something?
-
i'm not in america and not in the UK, i have to order them overseas which adds up to a lot of money. you can't just order new sticks and replace them you have to send in your controller and have it fixed(not counting in the new xinfinity), which again costs a lot for someone who has to pay on shipping overseas. i always ordered 2 at a time so i have a replacement, but i stopped doing that because the elite is THAT much better. why would i lie about having a scuf? lmao, some people on here.

The only thing I can say to that is from what I saw of using the two controllers, Xbox elite vs scuf, is the thumb sticks on the elite are stainless or some other metal compared to plastic in the scuf 's. This is a common problem and your right 100% that should not happen on a 200$+ controller. If you get on the scuf message boards that is something people scream about is that they need to make them metal sticks not plastic with a metal housing that they roll on.

yeah some of the material they use is very cheap! especially on the thumbsticks, it's a shame. but i haven't looked back after getting the elite.
