Rumble match. Player 1: 25 kills, 10 death. 2.5 kd Player 2: 15 kills: 3 deaths: 5.0 kd Player 3: 10 kills: 8 deaths: 1.25 kd Player 4: 5 kills: 10 deaths: 0.5 kd Player 5: 2 kills: 20 deaths: 0.1 kd Player 6: 0 kills: 6 deaths: 0 kd Average kd: 1,56 I went ahead and gave the #1 nine deaths to even the amount of kills and deaths. Your average was right for the take but the kills and deaths didn't match up. Average: ( 2,5 + 5,0 + 1,25 + 0,5 + 0,1 + 0 ) ÷ 6 players

  • Maybe add 9 deaths to player 5 and see what the average kd is there...

  • Facepalm. The only way the average K/D is higher than 1.0 is if there are more kills than deaths, which can't happen. However, the opposite CAN happen; people often blow themselves up or fall off a cliff, making for more deaths than credited kills. The average ratio is then less than 1.0. If "Misadventure" were on the post-game report as a player with no deaths and who got credit for players killing themselves, then the ratio would always be 1.0.

Facepalm... you don't know how averaging ratios works. Go back to school. If you add up the total kills and deaths of all players then calculate the kdr, it can't be higher than 1.0. This is known as global kdr. Not average kdr. If you take each player's individual kdr and then average them, then you get the average player kdr which is 1.0494. See my other reply to the OP for details.

I made a slightly more realistic scenario but yours is a correct and useful example.
