Should campers be teletransported into battle like in PoE??
The idea: After 10 seconds, a message like [i]Shaxx summons all guardians...[/i] or something like that.

14 RepliesI always love this topic. if someone is controlling a lane /area, aka you people call "camping" then why must you keep running into my zone? obviously I'm not going to move if enemies are having high traffic through it. also for offense, [u]YOU KNOW WHERE THE GUY IS CONTROLLING THE LANE![/u] so why you complaining?! it's called adapt people. if you want to keep running into a brickwall, then go for it.

Don't think that's the best idea. I also think it would be impossible to implement fairly as there are just too many situations in which you are standing still for a period of time.

Maybe in game modes like Inferno it could be implemented, but there's no need to hit normal Crucible with something like this.

Anyone can stop and wait or think for 10 seconds and would be completely unfair for them to just randomly teleport. Also if this was implemented, it shouldn't apply to trials. Trials is a very strategic type of game mode. Trials isn't about rushing in and doing something. It's about out playing your enemies. At the same time as this sounds great and all, it is very flawed. Because people have different play styles and just because it's different from yours or you don't like it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. I mean we all don't like things, we have opinions on them. It just so happens that this playstyle can be annoying.

Makes no sense. "Camping" is subjective, and can be considered strategy to play safe or secure an area. I don't see what the fuss is, go around, try diff tactic. Teleporting would be nonsense.

1 ReplyWent into a strike with 2 randoms, one was a squatter. The other gentleman and myself get to omniggie and kill ourselves bringing him forward. We proceed to push him into line of fire and continually res him. He left after 20 or so deaths. It was a fun diversion.

There would be a tough distinction between a camper and a player in a standoff with an opponent or recovering from a battle and keeping a low profile. Sometimes when a fight has ended and its a narrow escape, I will grab cover, reload, wait for my health and shields to regen. That's about 10 secs or more depending on your recovery settings. I don't think I should be teleported for playing smart. It would have to be a lot longer if it was to be fair. But, in the end it most likely wouldn't stop what seems to be more of a personal annoyance, rather than a real problem.

Destiny isn't CoD. Camping is already heavily punished because of Supers and extremely effective grenades on all classes. If someone is staying in a single spot and you're dumb enough to turn your head to them whilst they have you in their sights you're the one that should be teleported... Out of this game.
