Incorrect, this is a statistical anomaly. Poorer players will die more often, thereby skewing the kill ratio. You could have a 1.0 KDR and still be in the bottom 30% of players quite easily.

Their deaths are offset by the people that kill them. So the entire average is unchanged.

No, because better players will of course die fewer times so the 1.0 KDR will not show the true median value.

Median value is not average. Spread across the entire group of 12, KD is 1.
