I was kind of confused about how Leia even knew Han was dead. Can random normal people still feel "disturbances in the force" even though they can't use the force?

She is? Was this in any of the previous movies or some eu thing that may or may not still be canon but apparently is because it's in the new movie?

Darth Vader taunts Luke in episode 6 with bringing Leia to the dark side as she is force sensitive. Yoda also tells Obi-Wan that there is another when Luke leaves Dagobah in Ep. 5. (Referencing Leia).

She just is i think they mentioned it in 6 and in eu she becomes a jedi and she is Anikan's daughter so

She doesn't become a Jedi but she does explore the force and learns new things.

Really i could swear in the eu she at least trains as one

From what I read in EU she does learn the ways of the force but she doesn't become a warrior or anything of the sort. Instead her training focuses on mental strength. She becomes a General. But then again EU is scrapped. WHY DOES NOBODY CARE ABOUT CHEWBACCA AND LEIA NOT EMBRACING? Star Wars fans would love that and it would be a fitting goodbye to Han
