TAKEN VANDALS ARE TOO OP.

Okay, i was doing the nightfall and i found a group of devoured vandals (taken vandals) and they would get together and just keep on spamming their shield. Its annoying AF because they all get in one bubble and when you aim to shoot they put up another. Their bubble/shield ability has no cool down at ALL. one bubble disappears and the other puts it up right away and they do it over and over again. There has to be a longer cool down. just do the nightfall this week and the first part will be very hard with the vandals without a shotgun.

    All taken enemies are OP. The Taken are just normal enemies infused with salt from the Crucible: Vandals: Camping Captains: Thorn/Sunsinger Grenades (Sunsinger=Solar Shield) Thralls: Blink Acolytes: High Aim Assist (The eyes also fire like TLW) Knights: Hammer of Sol Wizards: Long Range Melee (Sends shadow thrall to melee from a distance) Goblins: Various Overshields Hobgoblins: Postmortems from Lag Minotaurs: Arc Blade Hydras (In Paradox): Head Glitching (Similar principle of 'body' being immune) Phalanxes: Shotguns Centurions: Bolt Grenades (Arcbolt=Arc Shield) Psions: Self Res

  • I've seen a taken vandal bubble take a nova bomb. Makes sense that random ads have a better bubble than defenders

  • Whenever they pop a bubble I charge in and slap them around or spreadshot them to the face. Just be cautious and always check your taken vandals, one could be wearing the Helm of Saint-14. And they wait for you to run in and you get four-armed bitch slapped.

      • The telesto worked wonders this nightfall, and this was the easiest nightfall yet. I did it solo on all characters, didn't die with my hunter when I thought he'd have the most problems.

        • If you approach cautiously they dont see you until you start shooting at them. Gorilla tactic with a sniper worked for me.

                I love their bubbles. It's an invitation to get punched in the face! If you charge their bubble, they won't fight back while inside it.

                • None of the taken enemies have a cooldown. Knights can spam their flames, vandals can spam bubble/snipes. Psions can duplicate to oblivion, captains and ultras spam their darkness flare.... They are all annoying

                  • Agreed. Not needing to reload combined with the forever bubble (if they're grouped up) is thoroughly annoying. Not difficult, just truly annoying. It's not difficult to hide, spam a few shots (hope the bubble is down), spam a few more shots (rockets), and then rinse and repeat. It's just another cog in the wheel of increasing time to completion to mask the lack of content.
