Because they are taken and made into soldiers, their pasts are wired and they are brainwashed into the order. Instead of real names and lives, they are given designation numbers. Finn was FN-XXXX (forgot his number). This is thier name. He gave himself the name Finn through FN. The fan base gave the designation TR-8R, because his only line is traitor.
