Can I ask, was there always so much salt on these forums?

  • There has always been salt in the games forum. But back in Halo 2 days updates where a very rare occurrence. Back in those days there was a significantly less level of entitlement. With map packs being small and significant updates to the game rare only 5 updates through the entire lifespan of the game from 2004-2010 when Xbox Original games had a cease and desist for Xbox live. The salt was directed towards other players for the most part. Modding, Standbying, circle boosting, BxR, super jumping, out of map glitches ect. The glitches in particular sparked lots of salty debates for and against them. Back in those days moderation was strict. A few people still here remember Shishka. A Bungie employee who was a total rogue and used the ban hammer without mercy! He eventually left Bungie and joined a company in Texas called "Certain Affinity". Mods like Shishka put real fear into the trolls. Of course there was that time Pezza got hacked...
