I'm gonna give you a set up for both PvE and PvP. If you want to be a Tanky-in-the-action Defender Titan you gotta run CQC weapons, wear the right gear, and have the right set up. PvP: [u]Weapons[/u]-TLW, Immobius, your choice of heavy. [u]Armor[/u]-Satin-14, this helmet blinds any enemy that comes into your WoD. Regular gear doesn't matter because it doesn't produce any specific benefits to any subclass. [u]Class Setup[/u]-Magnetic Grenade, Increased Control, Armor of Light, Unbreakable, Titan Codex I, Bastion, Titan Codex IV, and Untouchable. PvE: [u]Weapons[/u]-Raid Scoutrifle, any decent shogun (since you wanna be a tank, right?), exotic sword/machine gun. [u]Armor[/u]-Saint-14, again. [u]Setup[/u]-Magnetic Grenade, Increase Control, Any WoD perk, in PvE you will be utilizing all three whenever the need calls for it but in general you should be running Blessing of Light to help keep your team alive outside of the Bubble, Titan Codex I, Bastion, Titan Codex IV, and Untouchable/Illuminated if your team is creating enough orbs. There are multiple ways to play as a Defender Titan, I just set up a general "Tank" Defender set up.
