If you are not getting the drops for the relics (they are not actually fusion rifles and they go into the mission area of the inventory) then the chances are you have all 4 and have turned them into banshee
The next stage is timegated and is only available on the 7th of each month when the first firewall mission appears on earth , you won't get any notification you just have to look for the purple triangle

That explains so much everywhere I read just says collect all the relics and the quest will start! That's a relief thanks for the help stig much appreciated.
