Does everything have to devolve into a competition with you apes?
Maybe if you have the rarest emblem you will be able to mate and pass your genetic material on a generation?

That's kind of the point of multiplayer video games is competitiveness..?

No it isn't. Most MMO's only have some pvp minigames, and only a few RPG's do. Game was sold as an FPS MMORPG like Borderlands (which has only dueling really). Only people that feel like they have something to prove to themselves or others like to compete with one another.
