Have you ever been so good at a game you stopped playing?
So, a random thought I had. Have you ever been so good at a game that it just became boring due to how good you were?
Way back earlier this year a game Evolve came out,I know most don't like it, but I loved everything about it. Especially the Monsters, mainly Goliath. I shit on so many teams and remained unbeaten, and still am to this day. I was at one point rank 22 in the world and I just lost all interest anyway. Being such a god sounds like a really cool thing to achieve in a game but what if it's actually a faster way to bore yourselves?
So talk amongst each other, revel in the ass whoopings you've given people or just say whatever the hell you want idc.

I believe my team (i was leader and founder) was 3rd in the nation/world (don't remember how the leaderboard worked) for good running while. I'd constantly stomp on competition and made sure to keep my place, along with having a badass team with the same mindset. Then I just quit. Told them I might leave, quit, forgot my login info, never returned.

Skate 3. I was in the top 100 for the "s.k.a.t.e" game mode. Rarely found someone who was a decent challenge.

3 RepliesReach Grifball. I was a boss at it after playing it for 3 years (almost daily). It wasn't competitive anymore by that point. Ending Rounds in 7 seconds every time, or spawnkilling until I fell asleep. Eventually that coupled with the drama in the community pushed me out. Haven't been able to go back and stay there since. Titanfall. I go ridiculously positive in most games. I get bored with it so I constantly switch weapons and tactics until I run out of ideas, then I just quit again.

Titanfall. Was one of the first to reach Gen10, still have a K/D over 5.0 against pilots to this day. It got boring popping on people.

Saints Row, I unlocked everything, including invincibility, with cheats just to mess with my friend. But I forgot about it and we made a lot of progress and I saved it and quit because it got boring being so OP

1 ReplyHalo 4. Whatever people say about it, it was honestly my favourite Halo game and one of my most played games. I won nearly every single game I played in every single mode and it kinda became laughably easy to win. In free for all I won 90% of my games with nothing but an assault rifle. Winning nearly all of my games became boring and it felt like there wasn't a player who could beat me.

I use to be so good at Uncharted 3 multiplayer that one day I actually got bored of it. That's only happened a few times though.

I was very good at Halo 3 but i didnt stop enjoying it because I'd go into social playlists with a friend an -blam!- around. Go into multi team and do nothing but KILL! Be doing KoH or Oddball and do nothing but go for kills. Shit was so fun!

I was a beast at Animal Crossing. After I became a millionaire, sexed every critter, bought off the mayor, and bought Tom Nook's store, there simply weren't any challenges left for me.
