Not everyone has all exotics. So people hope that xur will sell them. If he doesn't sell the item then people get disappointed.
Simple concept to understand.

Read the first sentence. Anyone else I understand.

You're first word being IF. So my response was to the that as like I said. Not everyone has all exotics. What I didn't add to it was from RNG. People still get disappointed from xur when he doesn't sell the RNG exotics. There are those that want him to sell quest line exotics. Complain enough and eventually it will happen. That's how it is with the Bungie concept.

They really should stand up to their fans. Even if every single one of us wanted it, they'd make us give a good enough reason. Not just 'cause everyone is sick of it'. Actual videos of proof, statistics, graphs, all sorts. Sure it got us out some tough times and we was right to complain about what happened with Xûr (the heavy ammo drought of the Dark below) but you was right. If someone's not got them all, they should be disappointed if RNG won't give it to them, after countless efforts (I myself done that with hardlight). So I'm guessing they could feel bad for the other people and was disappointed that they didn't get that stuff (like when Xûr sold gjallarhorn. Some felt happy for those who bought it and others flipped their shit. I for one, was very, very cross, as a I only just got my first gjallarhorn a week and a half prior (I just knew the week I got gjallarhorn, Xûr would sell it. People were right) from PoE on my Titan). But thanks for your input and showing me my mistake.

My friend had the same problem, he couldn't get the bounty for Super Good Advice, no matter how many times he tried, he eventually got it from xur when TTK came out. I do hope Bungie stick to keeping weapons that are earned through quest ines and missions to just that. I prefer when you have to earn any exotic through quest lines, even though most of the time it isn't worth it. You're welcome, we all make mistakes.
