Slr Mars Gate Jump
THE Mars gate Jump is Arbitrary!!!!! At Least once a race I wont be able to make that jump and theres NO REASON WHY!!!! Ive going full speed 1st place into that warp jump and a lot of the time dont make it!!??!? Ive have also tried going Slower, Hitting the Middle or Sides or a combination of the 4 and To NO AVAIL OF CONSISTENTCY!?!?! IS there some sort of trick like pitch the nose up b4 u go in the teleporter!!?? This Portal is VERY infuriating and is the reason y i have lost racers because of its Abitrary behaviour! If there was a reason like if it turned Red or Closed u wouldnt make it, i would have no problem, but this is not the case!! COULD Someone Please give me an answer??
Edit: Thank you all for the Quick Help and Confirming im not the only one with the problem.
The problem most likely to b The Racing helm perk pitching ur nose down making u fall in the Jump. Ive Just TESTED it out myself and this has worked: few have given me the explaination to pitch ur nose of the sparrow up right b4 the teleporter! Hope it helps! Your pushing forward which makes your sparrow tilt with the helmet you have equiped

Don't wear the SRL helmet, or remember to pull back on the left stick when you do the jump.

I noticed as soon as unlocked the pitch perk on my helmet that I couldn't make the jump even if I didn't touch the left analogue stick. So I started pitching the nose up until I was sure I would make it then back down. No problems since but you have to pitch up some if you want to make that jump with that helmet perk

3 RepliesBest tips I can give: -Make sure you hit the boost gate just before the teleporter -If you have the pitch perk on your helmet: do not pitch forward too much -Try to hit it as straight as possible If I do that, I make the jump 99 times out of a 100.

Its frustrating as hell, many things in slr are, at least if you ride one of the new sparows its more berable.

Every race, and I mean every race, the last fan geys me. Even when I think I will make it it stops immediately in my path. Every time...

That gate have ruined almost all of my races on Mars, it has to be some kind of glitch. Good to know it happens to others. Another fail from Bungie to add on their list.

Use that helmet of yours and get you nose up! Done! Took me a few deaths to realise this. Now, for almost every other jump...get yo' nose down. You go faster on the ground than in the air.
