Tried challenge mode with a group of guys who bitched and argued and blamed each other. Wasn't working, wasn't having fun. So I bailed.
Tried challenge mode a few hours later with very relaxed and patient group, and we nailed it on the second attempt.
When people act like asshats, it's not even worth doing.

Edited by kmf0001: 12/18/2015 6:02:26 PMI actually bail instinctively after Golgoroth on hard mode, i don't have a regular fireteam and always end up in random groups, old golgy always seems to drain player patience and in the 5 mins it takes to get across the battering dildo puzzle most people turn into dicks.

This. In my experience, harassing people and complaining about every mistake is a sure fire way to make everyone play worse. If the group isn't clicking, and isn't willing to be patient, then I'm probably only staying for a couple attempts. If someone is screaming at anything, I'm out.

I'm not a nervous person but having some random idiot cry baby calling other players mistakes out makes my hands start shaking. I don't know if it'snerves or anger, but i have 3 lvl 313+ characters and have only attempted HM Oryx once,-that put me off for good..

Try to find groups that are looking for a minimum light level that you meet, and aren't demanding ToM or Black Spindle, as those guys are usually asshole try hards, and it's going to be a miserable experience.

Yep. Everyone being assholes just sucks. People make mistakes and it's ok.
