And I have one on my other account all the way upgraded but dont know what so great bout it ? I could hve gotten a Icebreaker at least

The exotic perk states "this secondary weapon takes place of a primary" or something like that it's classified as a secondary whether or not it's actually a primary.

So would it count if i had a secondary exotic and tried equipping it ?

Yes it would still count you can't have two exotics no matter what
