I think the Void is dark matter Matter is every atom making up the world we live in, including us, planets, and even the air in the atmospheres of each planet. Matter makes up 10% of, well, everything. Dark matter makes up the other 90%. It is the absence of matter, as in the empty [b]void[/b] of outer space. There is no matter in space, which is why we can't breathe or hear sounds, just the ever unnoticeably present dark matter I believe anything that uses void (void walkers for example) finds away to harness this vast nothingness and turns it into something...more. Something tangible like the nova bomb The grimoires say that the Traveler emerged from the Void. It came from that empty nothingness into sudden color and life, just like the nova bomb. I kind of compare it to the Big Bang theory: how there was nothing, then there was everything. I believe the Traveler can also harness the Void, as it was able to come forth from it, and there is actually proof that it is how it creates life, making every planet it visits able to sustain life. It creates from nothing, while the Darkness seeks to destroy all it creates

Very subtle and vague, I call the Void anti because Voidwalker and Nightstalker, both who seem to not only use, but embrace and realign with the Void. Defenders barely even understand it, they wield it, but not as a weapon, which might be the difference. You know I never really thought about out but this might be worthy of more research and a post
