Holy shit, I love this -blam!-ing post. Always found it ironic that the players who consider themselves the elite, are the biggest babies when they get lit-up. Though, I would stand by what I've always said in the face of PvP hate (which is not what you're doing here): Bungie, and Bungie alone, chooses which cries to listen to, and which weapons to ruin as a result.

  • The best players understand the game in way a noob will never be able to comprehend. Those are the guys who actually understand imbalances and it makes perfect sense that they call it out.

  • I agree that those players understand the game very well, but I also believe that they are prone to whining whenever they get owned by a particular weapon or weapon type. We don't need them dictating the game for all of us, no matter what kind of experience they have.

  • You assume that most Trials players are good. They're not :D You also assume that they dictate something, which they aren't either. If the data isn't there to support a nerf, a nerf won't happen, so there's that. However, Trials represents only around 10% of the PvP activities, and features a completely different tactical setup, which doesn't bear any resemblance with normal 6vs6 modes. Trials should never dictate anything, and going by the data we have, Trials has never been the focus of nerfs or balances. 6vs6 was always the focus.

  • It is certainly very controversial

  • It really is. If nothing else, it may get us talking (or yelling).
