I dont think thats ever gonna happen. with the queensbreaker bow, vex and now sleeper all tied in to that classes buffs and nerfs they have forgotten there is an entire class of weapon behind them that these changes hurt. you buff fusions and then the vex becomes a monster again, or the bow does or the sleeper wrecks too many boss fights.
having a fusion sniper, primary, heavy and normal special fusions they have made it so hard for themselves to balance properly the only way they can is for the 3 causing the issues to be totally removed from the fusion pool and balanced as unique guns.
it didnt get a year 2 upgrade but you can still use it like you can the ghorn, fatebringer or any other weapon from year 1.
in crucible where levels dont count a year 1 vex with a buffed fusion class will get buffed too. same with queens breaker bow and sleeper simulant. those 3 should be removed from the fusion class altogether so the fusions can be properly balanced as a class.
fusions have been nerfed repeatedly off the exotic fusions.
so while they can treat weapons individually they dont. thorn was op and they nerfed the entire class. conspiracy theory classed as op and they nerfed the entire class.vex was classed as op so they nerfed the entire class. fellwinters lie classed as op and they nerfed the entire class.
I would say exotic weapons should be removed from classes of guns and balanced as individuals allowing the legendary guns to be balanced properly.
Don't forget that they recently did this with Hawkmoon as well, treating it separately from other weapons in its class. I believe they did so to The Chaperone as well. They also gave the Vex Mythoclast a nerf independent of the Fusion Rifle class in the very first patch after the Vault of Glass was released.
