Pulse rifles have been Castrated
Auto rifles have been castrated
Hand cannons have been buried in a shallow grave
Shotguns are getting taken out back and shot
Fusion rifles have been gangbanged
In nerfing these weapons for intended balances, you have only screwed over other balances. Snipers are kept in check by auto rifles and pulse rifles, Scout rifles are kept in check only by competition from other weapons.
So here is my suggestion:
Rebuff all primaries
Restore shotguns stats (minus range)
Bring back fusion rifles
Then leave it the hell alone and just leave it to us to change the meta, which everybody will do when they pick a favourate gun.

Precisely. The game is largely out of Bungie's hands now; it's not up to them to determine how we should play the game that we paid them $60 for. They are to cater to what WE want, and WE want all weapons to be viable.
-
The problem is that one weapon type gets overused, so it gets believed to be OP when it may not be.
-
It's ironic you say that: Remember SUROS Regime, when it ran amok in the Crucible? Have you ever thought about why that is?
-
Xur, he sold it and then suddenly everybody tried it out. People liked it so they used it, leading to more people using it.
-
EXACTLY. He sold the SUROS during Destiny's second week, when everyone had the Strange Coins to buy it. Then, he sold it again within a four week span following that: A powerhouse Exotic, that was stupid easy to get. Bungie used that as an excuse to justify a blanket nerf on Auto Rifles. It's total garbage.

Edited by Tinker (Chloe): 12/12/2015 2:52:09 PMHe never sold it second week mate, bare minimum of third. He sold Red Death week one He sold Gjallahorn week two. Edit: It was the third week he sold it. Most people by that time had enough strange coins to buy it then
-
Ahh, you're right; I just looked it up. Still, it was at a time when nobody knew how mighty Gjallarhorn was, so SUROS Regime was sold far more. Then, they sold SUROS again exactly four weeks later, so by this point, everyone either already had it, or had the necessary Strange Coins to buy it yet again.

Agreed.

SUROS wasn't necessarily overpowered, rather it was widely accessible through an easy means.
