[i]He lights a candle on fire with the blue flame and hands it to you.[/i] "August- this is Apex, master Genesis and wielder of the eternal flame". [i]It's a pleasure to meet you August,[/i] Apex says bowing.

"Pleasure is all mine." He marvels at the sight of the flame.

"Helius...take him to the path. August to join one of us....you must release your tethers", she says. [i]Helius places his hand on your shoulder and you instantly appear in front of a trail leading up to a large mountain.[/i] "Let the flame guide you", Helius says handing you the candle and putting a reassuring hand on your shoulder. [i]He steps back and teleports away.[/i] [i]The path ahead is open, but sunset appears to be nearing.[/i]

August takes a deep breath. "Okay, lets do this." He begins to walk the path.

[i]Dusk approaches, and the wind calmly blows against the trees. Ahead of you is nature and wild life. [/i]

I walk slowly, but confidently. Keeping quiet to avoid spooking the wild life. Each step I wonder, "Where am I going?" But trudge on letting the candle light my path.

[i]You go uphill, and you find a small gate with a Japanese style arch.[/i] "Let your fire be your guide, but do not let it control you".

I walk through the gate. Trying to see through the void, to no avail.

[i]It's dark at this point with the candle being your only source of light. The blue flame burns bright and ahead of you is the trail.[/i]

I continue walking. Beginning to feel the effects of walking for so long. Though my fit body had used very little energy. Beginning to grow anxious, I begin humming a soft tune.

[i]You suddenly hear bushes near you, they shake. The trees ahead of you shake as well.[/i]

I quite down but don't slow my pace.

[i]You suddenly step on a trap that hangs you upside down on your legs. You hear trees rustling along with the bushes.[/i]

"Great..." I try to remain calm and reach for the rope. I try to use the candle and burn the rope.

[i]It burns free releasing you. Ahead of you, you see a demon Oni, wielding a kanabo[/i]

I take a deep breath and smile. "I'm assuming your not the friendly kind of sword wielding oni demon."

[i]The Oni chuckles as he back swings and knocks you 20 feet back into a tree. It roars and stomps back into the woods leaving your sight.[/i]

"Shiiiiit" I hit the tree with a thump before teleporting back to my feet. "Wanna play games? Let's play some games." I begin twisting the time in the direction that the oni went and released it in a massive burst.

[i]Nothing appears to happen, and you hear an ominous chuckle in the wilderness.[/i]

"Nice meeting you too! Asshole..." I pick up the candle and continue walking along the path.

Edited by DesertX963: 12/11/2015 8:17:12 AM[i]The path forward is clear, and ahead you see a bamboo forest, a small gate and fences, along with a small traditional Japanese cottage, the trees that stop near the gate and fences begin to shake and you begin to hear the voices of children laughing by the traditional Japanese farm home.[/i]

"A little late for children to be out and about." I begin walking toward the sound of the voices.
