While a sound theory, I cannot agree. I mean first off how do guardians have kids? And if so does that instantly warrant those kids being chosen by a ghost as well? When St 14 refers to the Speaker as "my father", it seems more likely he said it in a religous way. As you would to a priest. The way Azzir speaks in the end of his grim, talking about "how long can we last" and looking up at the night sky reminded me of Dredgin Yor. My own guess is that he turned to the darkness like Yor, but now all we have is that card so who am I to speculate?

As you would to a priest.
(Copy/Pasted from another subtopic here) Its almost entirely guarunteed that Saint-14 is not his biologically (or even adoptive) son in any way. The Exos are Golden Age humans that "gave their body to the ice" in an experiment by Clovis Bray. They are part of Rasputin's Just-in-case-the-Traveler-is-evil plan. For it to be biological, the Speaker would be several centuries old (which surpasses the average human lifespan at this time of about 300). Its very much more likely what you said about Priests being "father" and refering to their disciples as "my son." Saint-14 serves as what a Guardian fully devoted to the cause of the City would become. He serves as the counterpart to the Speaker's other apprentice, Osiris. (End Copypasta)
He obviously felt like Saint was family, proabibly explaining that armor set.
There is literally nothing linking the armour set to the Speaker, Azzir, or Saint-14 besides a mere "its not...not possible." If the Speaker did recover Saint-14's body, then why would Saint-14's legend consist of him disappearing forever? • The lore shows that 14 & the speaker had a father son relationship, like an actual father son relationship.

  • The only thing the lore shows is that the Speaker (Awoken) and Saint-14 (Exo) refer to eachother as father and son. Seeing as the Speaker is seen as a priest, it's most likely a religious term

Watch the first Speaker cutscene at very high brightness. At one of two scenes, you can see through his mask a tiny bit, and he's blue

  • I'd like to add that we don't actually know what race the Speaker is. He is covered head to foot in robes. I have always gotten the ethereal Awoken or at least Old Man in a Library feel.

Possibly, but right now saint-14 is the only guardian we see the speaker use such terms with. There is likely something more to it as such. Obviously it can't be biological. But based on Anons armor description above about a grieving father, a scenario in which The speaker lost his actual son and somehow placed a mind copy of his son into an Exo out of grief and not wanting to let go is possible. No grimoire on this, just a thought. Or could be as simple as father/priest

  • Very highly doubt that. They were much closer then how you describe it. It's clear the speaker saw 14 as a son (adoptive at most) and 14 saw him as a father and Osiris as a good friend (almost like a brother, someone he highly respected for his skills).
