Not really. Bungie has had a promotion for some time now giving the players to have Expansions 1 & 2 upgraded for free to the Next Gen consoles. Players will still need to get the base Destiny game and TTK for the new consoles.

As I see it, if you purchase the DLC once it should still remain tied to your account. I don't quite see why they would freely transfer over their first couple of DLCs but decide that TTK doesn't count when it's exactly the same as a DLC as the first two. It just seems like a way to wring more money out of their player base since they require re-purchasing their most expensive DLC.

It's not transferring over...you're having it upgraded. You have the license for the 360 and are upgrading the licenses for the Xbox One. If you didn't have the licenses for the Xbox One for Expansions 1 & 2, you would have to pay for them, right???
