Here's a tip: never build on that croup manor place, each time you go there there's always like 6 ghouls sleeping there even if you've cleared them out before. It's annoying

Luckily it just told me I'd failed the mission to secure it. I didn't realise there was a time limit.

You can still go clear it and use it, you just won't get xp from doing it for a mission.
