Sorry for your loss, guardian, but you've made a mistake.
You bought a Legacy Engram, which turns into a year one Exotic. Year One exotics cannot be upgraded to year two. Patience and Time doesn't have a tear two counterpart yet, although for general Crucible the weapon is still pretty good.
Tl;Dr Don't buy Legacy Engrams and you cannot get your weapon past 170 light, sorry.

Dude I suggest just playing around with it first. You may want to hold on to it. Although I'm being biased since that was my first exotic.
