If you had no skill then your basically stating that you as a player never improve. IMO it's the people that think any video game requires no skill, then you just stated Donkey Kong requires no skill (have you beaten it?) if you learn something in the game and you change your game play you just improved and built skill. It's amazing how ignorant people are to this. Some will say one game was easier than the other, my opinion i found COD easier along with Halo the more I played. Now saying that it would mean that you as a person have developed a skill, that's why it seams easier. I am in no way mentioning the aspect of code that goes into a video game that makes each one different, they actually build in weather patterns, morning to night, trajectory patterns in games.
