I want to prove the elitists wrong!
I'm so tired of hearing how you need to be a 310+ to do the Kings Fall Raid on hard mode. I know that I wasn't. And I know it's possible to do at a lower light. So here's the deal, at 11:30 PST I want to run a raid on the Xbox360 with all six of us at a 305 light or lower. I don't care what your loadout is. Just have a mic and patience. I'd need someone who has the capabilities to record it as well. I want to prove once and for all that light level is only a small portion of the raid and that skill truly triumphs. If anyone is interested send me a message and let's show the Destiny Community how this game could/should be!

It's possible with an exp group the only thing is the dps on oryx at the end might be a challenge esp if you lose people. But yeah the you have to be this light lvl is stupid esp when they ask for above 310 ex I saw 314+ only and dude was 312. Before you say I'm only saying this bc I'm not at the lvl all three of my characters are 316+ when fully equipped. Some people just have shitty luck with rng doesn't mean they can't beat the raid below 310

I think it's more because high light lvl means you have better gear which people see as having more experience with the harder stikes and Night falls that drop said gear

Completed my first two runs on hard mode before I was 310.

Edited by Redacted: 12/8/2015 8:06:05 AMThis past week I completed HM 3x as a 304 Hunter, 305 Titan and 306 Warlock, with groups all under 308. Each full raid took no more than 1 hour 45 minutes, including breaks. If you did the HM raid the first day it was released, you did it as a sub-310 guardian. It can be done, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Oh, I also ran HM Oryx on my main so my buddy could run his 303 guardian through the raid and get his 3rd Oryx completion for the week. We LFG'd a 318 Titan who would only do Ogre duty. Between the 303 and the 318, guess who died the most at Oryx. I'll give you a hint: it wasn't the 303.

By this point in time you should be above 310 and if you're not its usually for a reason.

First time I beat it I was only 305 and no one in the fireteam was over 308. I used a 300 not like the others primary. A 305 1000 yard stare and a 295 or so dullivan. It's not about light level. Though it does help.

Players want high level because they wana do the raid as fast a possible they dont c it as fun anymore more like a burden everyweek my friend did hard raid mode with 301 light and the rest were just over 305 just selfish players

It's not so much that it matters as much as it shows that you have the experience.

We took a 305 through, it was his first time. The kid was like 13 or 12 and didn't die once at oryx - wait he died once, because his mom called him and he had to go afk. He's now 312.

6 RepliesEveryone knows you can, most just don't feel like spending 4 or 5 hours to beat a raid that should only take a hour or less to complete. Some of us are adults and have jobs and lives outside this game.

Why not 300? I'm pretty sure that the first time I finished Hard Mode was with everyone 305 or lower, I was still 299 (dat 300 barrier, amirite?)

Im a 305 now , hopefully ill get lucky in the next couple weeks and ill go for hard (but the loot kinda suck so Idk , i am in no hurry

Can you can do the whole raid at 300, you just need 310s for oryx. Or at least it makes the final cp alot easier
