Still the elemental burn thing I feel like WOULD break the game a little. Everyone would flood to the best load out like before, it'd just be a different gun load out than before. The Fatebringer-Black Hammer-Gjally load out would basically reappear as something different but equally superior to literally everything else.

People are still using only one or two weapons in both pve and pvp not because of the elements but because we wear whatever is our highest light. This expansion is -blam!-ing retarded.

They could make it a quest system to only give each character an option of one elemental that can change from weapon to weapon at a cost, and make the way to receive the core extremely difficult

Not really. Element only affects pve. You would be able to infuse any weapon, which means choose your Favorite.
