Would Etheric Light be the fix you're looking for?
I think Etheric Light was a good gift gone too soon. I think bringing that back would revive the game for us veterans. The game is starting to choke itself out because of the insane bottlenecking the end game has us doing. That's like, only the raid.
Everyone wants their own unique style and the current end game doesn't offer that. It's hard, too much is given to drop chance. Don't get me wrong, I never complained about loot drops before. Because even if I couldn't get one specific thing, I could find something else to replace it until I could. Crux, Mythoclast, PoE gear. Anything like that. I'm all for the challenge of the game. But not fighting RNGesus 3 times a week to get put down by the game because I'm not lucky enough.
Anyone else out there think Etheric Light would save the game? Do you think a different idea would save the game?
Bungie, as a challenge to you. I never seem to hear your feedback. I challenge you to give us feedback on the Etheric Light idea. Whatchu' got for us?
EDIT 1: I mean bringing back Etheric Light for us to level up our weapons and equipment.
EDIT 2: What about making it so you get rewarded with something better than your current equipment? Get a boot drop that's 305? Next time you can get one between 306-320. How do you like that idea?
EDIT 3: The poll is, from a face view, showing that option 2 is the majority vote. However it changes if you actually do vote. Currently the poll stands at: 65 yes and 22 no.

Etheric light was essentially a means to getting Year 1 raid gear to match new gear from Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders. It was a way to be able to hit 34 light level, wearing armor from Vault of Glass (which maxed at 30 light per piece) or Crota's End (which maxed at 32 light per piece). Outside of year one, Etheric light serves no purpose, and really has no place. I believe it should be converted into a glimmer consumable, much like gems you received as rewards from Petra.

Now what needs to really happen is unlock Infusion for all weapons and armor so we can start getting a wider variety of weapons in PvE. I mean if non-Iron Banner, non-Trials of Osiris PvP matches can make use of all the weapons equally, why not PvE as well? And if the only reason why some of these weapons are being held back is because of the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris then do what Riot Games and Yu-Gi-Oh! have been doing this entire time: a Ban List.

3 RepliesI rather etheric light boost light level without infusing another weapon. Or allow a level increase without infusing a higher level gun.

better idea: etheric light makes year one class items infuseable. Hunter cloak problem fixed. Old iron banner class items become relevant. titans get marks that actually cover their arses
