Please for the sake of my coworkers and I, stay home. It's bad enough we don't get to see our families on Thanksgiving due to black Friday being pushed back to Thursday. But we are often threatened with termination if we call off that day. We really don't have a choice but to be there. Those who really need our job anyways.. so I will only get to spend about two hours with my family. Many of my coworkers will not see theirs at all. So, please, please, please stay home. Many places are offering the same deals online as they are in stores. So on behalf of my coworkers and my associates I ask you to please take into consideration that we have no choice but to be there..

As the character played by John Terry says in the movie, "Full Metal Jacket", "Been there, done that, can't say I liked it." I get where you're coming from, as when I first retired from the Army I landed a job at a Quick Stop till something permanent came along. Had to work Thanksgiving evening. So much for the holiday spirit.
