Bungie has said that they will not comment on secrets within TTK https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/13637 That said, all speculation points to it being a strike-specific drop from the Phogoth strike, but whether it is currently available or not is unknown.

 • Bungie is the same company that said they learned from their mistake (concerning the sleeper simulant…) right ? Anyway, have you seen it anywhere ? :/ What do you think ?

 • I think it's available, just no one is running the Phogoth strike, and the drop rate for destination strikes is very low.

 • Many people are running phogoth strikes for this helmet. There is a whole reddit thread about this helmet with people doing tests. Some have run it 100-200+ times. If it was in game someone would have it.

 • I mean I grinded that strikes a lot, just in case :/ didn't get anything… But also I can't find anyone or any video about someone having that helmet and that's really improbable… I mean for example the omnigul gun is known to exist, people got it… And the summoning pit strike is in the legacy playlist just like omnigul…

 • People got the Omnigul gear from cheesing the portion prior to the actual boss fight.

 • I got my omnigul bond from selecting strike from earth, and doing strike the normal way before people started cheesing it. It only took me 1 run to get it. Cheesing isn't the only way people got there stuff

 • Okay, you got lucky, and a friend of mine got the bond on his first run. Point being, most people are not running the complete strike.
