This isn't worthy of a holiday... If we had a day for every group who's been victimized or attacked or anything we'd run out of days in the year before we finish!

It's not a holiday, trans people don't get the day off. It's just a day set aside to remember those who have been murdered and hurt over the years.

That's what I was getting at. I guess holiday was a bad choice of words. Having specific days for stuff is stupid. Why should that day be the only one where people honor and remember those people?

It's not the only one, its just a day that was organized to make that very thing easier. It's easier to make memorial services if you have a saved date every year. That's the only real reason its an annual thing. To get people together.
