Valid points in all. Destiny was supposed to be "see that, you can go there" and "solo play is 100% viable". None of that was correct

I try to be reasonable in my analysis. It's a disappointment I feel more than anything. The world of Destiny just feels small. For all its skybox art and varied locations it feels small and empty.

Agreed, this game has such great potential but it seems as if it's being squandered in the name of greed. It's ultimately disappointing. Although I think good communication from Bungie would help quite a bit

I don't think there was ever a good way to communicate what this game was going to be from a marketing standpoint. Something like: "If you enjoy a certain play style, then prepare to either step out of your comfort zone or stare uselessly at content you can't possibly complete alone because that's the way we chose to design it." It would have been honest, but no higher level executive in Activi$ion's marketing department would have let it fly.
