Go to any merchant, but all of a ammo (.308 works) don't accept. Give one back. Then the rest. You should have one round in your inventory. You can sell that for infinite caps.

You can actually give him 6 sometimes and sell 6 ammo instead of one. You can also sell the ammo your giving to him after a certain amount (not sure how much) and it keeps doubling every time, the vendor ended up owing me like 6 million caps after I cleared his inventory and it took like 10 mins, lol

I'm really surprised they didn't fix this. It was discovered quickly because it was doable on the other games as well Oh well, I know bethesda loves their glitches

It's single player, so it comes down to that player to make the choice of exploiting. If it was multiplayer, it would be patched quickly.

Bethesda usually doesn't do anything about this stuff. There's been vendor glitches in every fallout game

Ya Look up money glitch Its a game breaker though. You can buy OP weapons right away. Use at your own risk.
