Because we all know Destiny is prized for its scientific accuracy when it comes to depicting the planets. The moon REALLY is full of evil aliens and Venus REALLY has jungles and the ruins of an old community college.

It's not that it is very accurate, but the landscape would resemble that of an actual area on Venus and the lava is blue because of the planet's atmosphere.
