Return of The Etheric Light
So what does everyone think etheric lights are going to be used for in future update?
I personally would love to see something like 10x Etheric Lights will unlock a year 1 weapon and make it infuseable (basically turn it into year 2 weapon).
I doubt very much this will happen and expect they will more than likely be used to turn in for faction increase or something equally as dull.
Come on bungie! Lets take a step in the right direction and start making all the raids/poe content from year 1 useful again! Even if you dont want to let us use our year 1 gear anymore.

I want it to be able to use one on any year two weapon and it bumps it to 310 light level

I'm hoping they'll act like the redbull codes. Xp boost across everything for 30 mins, good for leveling gear as well as guns.

Nobody at any point said they 'think it will be something good/useful'. Everyone knows its going to be something pointless. Just nice to see what ideas the players can come up with since bungee cba thinking of anything at all anymore or for the forseeable future.

I doubt very much it will be as exciting as some people are speculating, I suspect it will be a straightforward material exchange of an Etheric light to motes of light, maybe strange coins at a push but probably just rep

I hope it's 1 etheric light for 25 motes of light or something like that. Because I want to get all the fwc shaders and emblems now to complete my collection

It will be shit, why? Beciase it's still in the game and now easy to get. If it was something good they would have needed to take it out when ttk came out. That would have made sense just have all y1 drop at the max damage and take it out of the game. Then the people that have it would have gotten it when it was hard to do

I want etheric light to be able to change year one items into pseudo year two items that you can level.....so that maybe those reef rewards would have some form of value.

10 etheric light and you will be able to pay banshee to remove a module/perk from a higher level weapon and bolt it onto your weapon of choice (replacing perk from same spot/tier)

EDIT - Some more details, typos.

2 RepliesIf it's something nice and the option to trade in etheric light is permanent then just maybe it might be a reason to play PoE again. It's gonna have to be something really nice though for people to go through that again lol
