hasn't recent psychological studies shown that it isn't addictive it's just the fact that your natural dopamine levels decrease so you convince yourself that you are addicted???

IMO, that makes it addictive. If your brain tells you that you need it on a regular basis, similar to stogies or booze, then I would consider it an addiction. Even if you are more addicted to the high than the weed itself.
-
Yeah but it's not an actual addiction if anything it's a type of placebo, weed itself isn't addictive but the conceived thoughts are. As in if you're just a recreational user, you could easily stop with NO withdrawal (proving its not addictive)

Placebo? Nah. Dopamine is the brain's natural reward system. It's why people seek out food and sex, because it releases the dopamine. Drugs, alcohol, etc. release dopamine without effort. People constantly seek out ways to release more, therefore causing addictions. This isn't always a bad thing, because it's what keeps us alive and continue reproducing and growing as a species.
