Funny enough it's literally none of those. The characters are shaped like people, and it's not [b]really[/b] even anime. For one it's American, and secondly it's animated using mo-cap, not drawings.

Except those prerequisites are so broad that they make you look like a fool. Also, RWBY doesn't even do that. The people are all shaped like what people actually look like.
