LUKE SMITH CONFIRMS MORE TIME GATED EXOTICS!!
Luke smith just confirmed that there will be more exotics to come, through time-gated quests. "We wanted to make sure players would get a new experience from time to time to make the game more entertaining." I think this is bullshit! Just give it to us now! It would be the same amount of content, but earlier so we don't have to wait! I think they're just trying to manipulate us into playing more of the game. But here's the worst part of all: another part of his tweet exclaimed "silver will resolve the wait time of these exotics. More will be announced in the upcoming December update." More bullshit! Of course they're using this to prolong the game... new content keeps it fresh. This has been the model since launch. HoW dropped and everything had to be upgraded again - everyone complained. TTK drops and they went another direction... making old gear obsolete with the exception of using it in the crucible or for old raids. People are still complaing. I rushed through the first 2 DLC's. I remade 2 characters and leveled them back up before there was such a thing as a spark of light to jump to level 25. Destiny got boring. With TTK, I've slowed it down to prevent getting burned out - quit playing for a couple months due to this. Working on the endless quests, leveling up gear and playing around with new subclasses. I don't want to raid non-stop and unlock everything in two weeks... been there... done that... it leads to boredom and aggravation. For those that are not aware... Destiny is actually a pay to play beta. They are learning as they go and changing things as needed/as they please. The game isn't anywhere near what it was supposed to be - it might eventually there. TTK has been a step forward despite a few bumps - glitches and bugs(any software is subject to these - more so a game being designed for 4 consoles. For whatever reason(Activision's involvement in my opinion), they've had to regroup and come up with new ideas to keep us playing. Public relations is obviously at the bottom of their list of worries. Several of the folks at Bungie have made comments about/to the community that didn't/haven't sat well. Slip of the tongue or just something said with no ill content that came off really bad. They won't/can't apologize... that would be admitting they were wrong. You have two choices. Accept the game as they present it and make the most of it or cry about everything and stop playing because you get tired of it.

1 ReplyI love that people STILL defend Bungie. I've never played a game before where they time gate anything. Unless it actually just got released, the items were already in place. The strategy behind it is pathetic too.
