Not everyone reacts in the same manner to the same stimuli. I am a retired Army combat vet and don't have PTSD, nor am I a sociopath / psychopath.....but I am admit to being a callous bastard.

What you say is true. But let's assume that things in Destiny would be possible in real life I'm pretty sure if you and I slaughter thousands of enemies and died over and over again it would break even the toughest human being.

You'd be amazed at what your typical person could become accustomed to. I have discovered that my own personal Achilles heel is certain smells....some things defy description.

I see. Thank you for explaining. It is a terrifying thought that an average person can get so accustomed in killing that it does not bother him/her anymore.

Call it a self-defense mechanism. Fortunately, only a small percentage of the population has to deal with things of this nature.

So it's all about mental strength? I still find it hard to believe that a completely normal person could see death in any corner and kill many opposing forces without losing sleep over it and still not be mentally insane.
