Religion is in its very nature evil. It's meant to stop forward progress by supplying ignorance to the masses.

If we as the human race didn't have sex we'd be extremely unhappy and stressed.

And go extinct you forgot the most important part.

It's possible that in the future we may not need sex to continue the human race. Cloning, or even transmission of the brain into a new body via electrical frequencies could make us immortal.

That wouldn't be fun

If we invest more in science we may see it by the end of the century.

Or maybe never who knows after all.

Scientists understand the theory of how it would work. They just can't pull it off because it takes an unrealistic amount of energy.
