Same mentality as pay 150 legendary marks and get back 5 when you hate the weapon and "dispose" of it.

(With your logic)... So If I buy a hotdog and eat it. Then I decide I don't want it in my tummy, I can resell it for the same price? :O No! That is buying a weapon! Not putting things into one.

By that logic - if I eat that hot dog and then puke straight after. The parts look different but are still all there. Or I'm getting back some of what I ate.
