Hi Vile Bastage,
It's possible that this is related to upstream ISP issues in the St. Louis area that we believe may be impacting people in both Missouri and Illinois, however we do not have any way to confirm this. Try the steps found in our Network Troubleshooting Guide, and if you continue to experience cattle and centipede errors you may want to contact your ISP for more information.
EDIT: Please note that this reply was specific to November 2nd. If you are still experiencing problems after November 2nd, please create a new thread in the #Help forum.

have all day trying to connect but is giving me weasel every time and I'm not from one of those.
-
If that's the case, then why am I getting weasel errors every 30 minutes in the DC Metro area?

Hi Jim123393, This response was related to a specific upstream issue we were seeing on November 2nd. If you're seeing weasel errors it indicates that the primary "carrier" connection to our services is being lost. This often indicates a problem with your home network, or an issue along the route that your data is taking to reach Bungie's services. Are you using WiFi? If so, please try switching to a wired connection temporarily. This is an important first troubleshooting step to rule out wireless signal strength/stability as a possible cause. You may also want to go through our Network Troubleshooting Guide. It's been recently updated with a lot of new information that is designed to help players diagnose their specific connection issue. Make sure you click the button at the bottom of each page that best describes your issue.

It's not an ISP issue if other games running on the same ISP work fine. It's troubleshooting 101 also known as "The common denominator" which leads to DESTINY lol.
-
different games have different requirements for speeds and latency too - Destiny is one game that requires premium connection rates (speed and latency). The average game online runs locally and sends bits and pieces of data back and forth - that's not how Destiny works, and not how a lot of the upcoming games will work either.

Hi dsikn355, Different games will use different BGP routes, backbones, or interconnections to route your traffic to different locations (depending on where the target servers are physically located). It is common for upstream network issues to only impact a subset of services.

@Redphoenix HD also No again the common denominator. My internet runs well with Destiny but once the halloween event started it started to get error codes and then once trials became available it would get so bad that i would get error codes while in orbit that would send me to the main menu. My internet didn't change so my internet isn't the cause of the change in increased error codes. It's that simple lol.

I found the answer. You have to cache yourself then plug in, delete your profile. buy a beer/soda/ fruit juice. cache again. then report on error code page.

The only cashe I am doing is cashing back in the game and getting some money back lol
