WHAT THE Blam lol stop complaining about 1000-yard stare
PLEASE STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT 1000-YARD STARE and that it has insane AA and takes no skill. It has less AA than every other "common" sniper in year 1, no one complained about those, and even told people who were good with those they ARE in fact good. or would you say hovey has no skill because he uses/used a sniper with much AA? to all of you who will say I need a crutch: I think I can snipe with both 1k-yard stare and the raid sniper e.g.

1 ReplyAgain, this is what happens when the community doesn't think before they over react. With all the current nerfs, PvP has slowed to a snails pace. People just sit back and watch hallways. Bungie does get some blame because I don't think they know how to balance worth a shit. As far as sniper rifles themselves, the only thing I'd like to see is more flinching when they are getting hit in the head.

1000yrd stare performs mediocre compared to some of my others. I had three and dismantled one. I'm keeping the other two as curiosities. Kind of like the year one stuff that isn't made any more.

1 ReplyThere is always going to be complainers Bungie knows the difference in whiners and a real need for a nerf.... snipers will not get nerfed. And it still takes skill to use a sniper anyone who says other wise is not good with a sniper and I can almost promise you there best weapon is a shotgun. They don't like the new meta because they don't have as powerful of shotguns with no rangefinder and shot package type combos.

3 RepliesI only complain because it is the only sniper I ever get killed by. I use Ice Breaker in all regular PvP and when I switch to 1000, I get kills I totally shouldn't have gotten. It's not the cheapest thing to get killed by, but is [i]way[/i] easier to use than others.

Don't think I ever got 2 shot by one, all were headshots even by the players run and gunning with it. Snipers in general need a gigantic Nerf in crucible, they have become the new fusion rifles of early y1, which is essentially a shotgun at much longer ranges without any of the risk. And once more people realize now easy-mode they are everybody and their mother is going to be using only snipers.

12 RepliesYou mean the 1000- yard aim assist. And it has high aim assist if I can do good with it. I'm terrible with snipers. If I can do good with a sniper, somethings up.

1 ReplyEdited by chattingmyth: 11/3/2015 9:07:38 PMI feel like the issue with 1000 yard stare is two-fold: 1) the gun was definitely the most used special weapon (and rightfully so), 2) the weapon is in no way difficult to use, no matter what the varient (mine has max stability and hidden hand). Still, it was the only usage rez-kill sniper next to the Hunter Stillpiercer (which I used)
