Ascended Materials were Vanilla Destiny and were then changed too currency items, same with the Crotas End Materials
-
Let's say, i can earn etheric light then i can use it to upgrade a rare to legendary. then what will happen if i did that?
-
Ye but neither were motes
-
Dude, they are so different from Etheric Light don't you think? Etheric Light is a specific item to upgrade old gear for Year 1. That's why it belongs to NON-TTK content. They can add another item, that is not my point

-
Ye but still. Etheric light should be useful for something else. Maybe if you infuse it with 100 motes of light or something it'll turn into an elemental etheric light. You can infuse it with any kinetic gear and itll add a burn. Thatll be quite useful for non ttk users aswell
-
People who haven't bought ttk would still use etheric light we should be able to trade it for rep towards a faction or trade for motes or weapon synths.
-
Ye but i still like the idea of using them to make elemental weapons. And some non ttk users might not even have any dlcs so,
-
They took elemental primaries out for their own reasons why would they make it so any weapon could have elemental damage then their would be more primaries with it instead of just the ones from the raid. It would be sweet but won't happen.
-
It aint me destroying everyones hopes, its bungie
-
Their is still another version of oryx coming out. Challenge mode u never know they may reintroduce elemental primaries for that mode. I won't keep my hopes up because ur right bungie is notorious for letting people down with this game. But you never know they could change their minds about it

Edited by II Stargazer x: 11/2/2015 10:28:40 AMinteresting idea, my idea was Etheric light's should be used as infusion material instead of Motes and Shards on year 1 Legendary items, +10 per Etheric light, this allows year 1 Legendary items to go beyond the 160/170 cap (maxed at 320) and makes getting them mean something
