If you want to keep playing then go ahead, but don't complain when you can't advance into an expansion without paying for it. Regardless if you agree with it or not, majority of the games out now are rapidly expanding and you can't find a game anywhere that gives out free DLC's. Whether it's a monthly payment or lump sum packages you have to PAY for new content.
If you love the game as much as most people do you won't care about that price because you enjoy playing it. If you don't enjoy playing it or don't agree with the companies marketing or terms then simply don't play and move on.
Playing Destiny without TTK is basically a waste of your time if you like the game for you are only holding yourself back from reaching level 40, and experiencing the new content.
I hate to say it but don't expect Bungie to even acknowledge your cries and demands to benefit those who do not support them. They will continue to make DLC's and continue to make you pay, unless by some miracle they give TTK owners a free DLC, but I highly doubt it.
My advice is really decide if you want to move forward in destiny and buy it, or if you don't agree with Bungies terms then trade it in for a fraction of what you paid all together.

Yeah your right about not finding a game that gives out a free Dlc, but i can recall some games not removing content either. Meaning, i paid for it and its still there even when they added new content.

it's not so much that i would like to advance into the next expansion as it is that i would like to play with the same liberty, rewards, and efficiency that i used to. giving specific examples: i would like to be able to play just control when i want to play just control and have my melee and grenade back with the same efficiency i had pre-TTK. also, i would to play dragon strikes and get myself the unending deluge (most elusive weapon to me). my logic is: if you HAVE to remove content, at least replace it. but i'm merely asking; no crying or threats, just a request.

The issue isn't that the non-TTK owners are not gaining content. It's that the destiny developers actually took content from them so they paid money for content earlier this year and have basically been robbed of their money.

So? If you want to play WoW you have to pay for original content plus the new content along with a monthly payment. One of the biggest games in the world. If you bought all the DLC's a couple months before TTK came out then you either should've waited or already knew that you were going to have to pay for the new content IMO I would've just waited it out

Edited by AlexisRivera: 11/2/2015 6:44:06 AMAs someone who played WoW, it annoys me to no end to see this argument endlessly repeated, you lose zero content. You can still do everything you used to do in the game. You just can't access the new areas that get added in the expansion (Which is entirely reasonable since you did not buy the expansion) but the areas that existed before the expansion stay largely the same. Of course your gear is not top of the heap anymore since the game's level cap gets bumped each time and there are new higher tier weapons and gear added to the game but you are still as effective on the old content as ever. That didn't happen in Destiny. People are actually less effective in the old content its just hard to prove since there are no activities even remotely close to level 34 difficulty for the non TTK player to do a proper comparison.

Oh and BTW.. Destiny isn't a rpg!!!! So don't compare it to one!!!
-
This isn't WoW. This is Destiny.
-
And I can almost guarantee you don't lose content in WoW if you don't buy the new DLC.

Mass effect three did multiplayer the best in my opinion why? Because despite the micro-transactions they never made you pay for a multiplayer expansion, you could if you wanted to but I never felt the need I enjoyed that feeling of euphoria when I got a new character from one of those boxes and the ilation from playing with them was astoundingly fun And when they gave out free dlc for the game adding new characters to be and new enemies to fight I was astounded, and that's why I will always be a bioware fan bungie seems to do the inverse of this and now I will no longer trust bungie

I think his issue is that when he said he wasn't buying their new toy, they took his old toy away from him in retribution.
-
They didn't take his old toy it's just that everyone got the new toy and he's left in the dust.
-
No, they took his old toys from him. Like weeklies, heroic playlists, legendary vendors... you know, all his year one content worth doing.
-
Holy shit dude. What don't you understand about the people losing content? Bungie took content away from those who didn't pay to play such as crucible pvp modes
